

The Old MirrorThe Old Mirror I found a mirror in my grandmothers attic one day. It was a tarnished thing, bound in an oak frame, intricately carved and finished. I discovered it tucked away in the back corner, hidden behind a sheet covered couch and a stack of empty window frames. It has covered with a thick burlap cloth which was held to it by tightly tied strings of hemp cord. I was curious of the covered object, having never seen it before in my explorations of the upmost room of the old building. The two men sat in the small room of the old house. The windows were boarded up and the door was barricaded against the horror that lurk outside. Between them sat a small card table with a lantern burning to provide light to the room. An incomplete deck of cards was set beside the lantern, but was at the time forgotten by the two. They sat in silence, pondering what to do next. Andreas. The speaker adjusted his beaten bowler cap and looked to his sole companion. Yes Leroy? Andreas answered.


Big GameBig Game The fire burned hot and bright; a singular point of light in the vast expanse of wilderness that was the American North West. Eric, Tim, and Ricky sat around the orange flames, drinking beer and laughing heartily at the dirty jokes they were entertaining themselves with. The night was warm and pleasant; filled with the noise of wildlife. Nearby sat their tent and closer yet their riffles. The three of them made yearly hunting trips into the vast tract of land owned by Rickys uncle. They had parked their truck on one of the numerous dirt roads that led into the iBig Game
